Dr Kevin Calzonetti

Dr Kevin Calzonetti

Dr. Kevin Calzonetti received his DDS from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1992 and attended his dental residency at the Hamilton General Hospital from 1992 to 1993. Dr. Calzonetti went on to practice general dentistry at his father's practice, Dr. A. J. Calzonetti, from 1993 to 1995. In 1997, he graduated from the University of Toronto's Endodontic program and opened his endodontic practice in 1998.

Dr. Calzonetti is also a part-time clinical instructor at the University of Toronto in the Post Graduate Endodontic Department. He is a member of the Ontario Dental Association, the Ontario Society of Endodontists; Canadian Academy of Endodontists, American Association of Endodontists; Past President of the Ontario Society of Endodontists and a fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.

Dr. Jose DaCosta

Dr. Jose DaCosta

Dr. Jose DaCosta received his DDS from the University of Toronto in 1991. Dr. DaCosta practiced as an associate from 1991 to 1992 and as a principal dentist from 1992 to 2006 in private practice. He received his M.Sc. in Endodontics from the University of Toronto in 2007 and has been working as an associate with Dr. Calzonetti since 2007. Dr. DaCosta is also a part-time clinical instructor at the University of Toronto in the undergraduate Endodontic Department.

Dr. Valerie Tom-Kun

Dr. Valerie Tom-Kun received her B.Sc. in 2002 from the University of Toronto followed by her DMD from the University of British Columbia in 2006. She did her general dentistry residency at the University of Alberta from 2006-2007 and practiced as an associate in a private practice from 2008-2011.

Dr. Tom-Kun received her MSc. In Endodontics from the University of Toronto in 2011 and now teaches part-time in the Undergraduate Clinic at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Andres Plazas-Garcon
DDS, Specialist in Endodontics, F.R.C.D(C)

Dr. Andres Plazas-Garcon

Dr. Plazas-Garcon is a graduate from Pontifical Xavierian University, School of Dentistry In Bogota-Colombia; He is also an endodontic post-graduate from the same university. He successfully finished the Dental Specialty Assessment and Training Program (DSATP) at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry. Dr.Plazas-Garzon served as a faculty member at the Pontifical Xavierian University from 1999 to 2007 and presently he is full time faculty at the University of Toronto, where he is appointed as the Assistant head for the undergraduate Endodontic program. Dr. Plazas-Garzon is also a clinical instructor and lecturer for both, the Graduate and Undergraduate programs as well as a Visiting Professor for the Graduate Endodontic program at the “Universidad Catolica de Honduras” where he lectures in Apical Surgery and Microsurgery. He is fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Dr. Plazas-Garzon has presented numerous lectures both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Aldo Manzur
D.D.S., M.Sc., F.R.C.D. (C)

Dr. Aldo Manzur

Dr. Aldo Manzur received his DDS from Carabobo University in Venezuela (2002) and his MSc in Endodontics from the University of San Luis Potosi in Mexico (2005); both occasions graduated with the highest honors. He has gained over 10 years of experience in teaching endodontics for Graduate and Undergraduate programs. He became a full-time lecturer and clinical instructor at the University of Toronto in 2005 and joined Western University as an Associate Professor in 2009. In 2012 he became a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists in Canada in Endodontics.

Dr. Manzur served as Head of Endodontics at Schulich Dentistry from 2009 until 2012. He has dictated lectures and continuing education courses for the past 9 years around the American continent, including countries like Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, Venezuela and Peru. Dr. Manzur has been recipient of national and international research, teaching and leadership awards. For the past 8 years has published in peer reviewed journals and has supervised graduate and undergraduate students research projects.

He is a member of the Canadian Academy of Endodontics (CAE), Ontario Society of Endodontics (OSE), and American Association of Endodontics.

Dr. Arwa Siyam

Dr. Arwa Siyam

I have received my bachelor degree in dentistry from Cairo University in 2003. I moved to Canada shortly after and earned my DDS degree from the University of Toronto in 2008. I practiced general dentistry for two years in Edmonton Alberta, before pursuing my passion to learn more about Endodontics. I spent two years of post -graduate education at Temple University where I received a certificate in endodontic specialization and a Masters degree in Oral Biology. I am a member of the RCDSO, ADA&C, AAE and a fellow of the RCDC. In my free time I enjoy reading, biking and travelling.

Dr. Gino Gizzarelli
B.Sc. Phm., D.D.S., M.Sc. (Anaesth.)

Dr. Gino Gizzarelli

Dr. Gizzarelli received his pharmacy degree from the University of Toronto in 1995. After working at the Toronto General Hospital for 2 years, he returned to the University of Toronto to complete his dental degree in 2001 and his Masters in Dental Anaesthesia in 2004.
